So I just got an email from my client to say...
"Would you like to come and have a look at what you fabulously designed? It's all looking amazing!"
My clients wanted to turn a rather large attic into a family room with sleeping space and an area to watch films and generally hang out. I took a brief and spent a few hours measuring up, what was a challenging space but I knew I would enjoy designing the space and helping my clients with the project.
Here are the initial designs in the shape of elevations and moodboards, to help visualise what I had in mind and to pin down the design before the fit out contractor started.
So design solutions were called for. Firstly, the ceiling would be dropped to help the space feel more cost and eliminate draughts, plus we could put in some lovely lighting to help with the mood of the space.
In order to get it all costed, I had to design the bunk beds so we could all see what fits and the contractor could estimate costs and timescales. Plans and moodboards and vital to a smoothly running project and help everyone see what it could look like before a drop of paint goes on the walls.
Here's a few 'before' pics!
Here's what it looks like now!
and of course, a final video...
What a great outcome! I had such fun designing this one!
